Valva
Realty was founded in 1932 by Italian immigrant Michele “Mike”
Valva and greatly expanded after World War II by his sons Bill and
Bob. Now owned and operated by the third generation of the Valva family,
the company remains committed to providing personalized, professional
service to residential and commercial customers and investors interested
in exploring the real estate potential of the East Bay.
Valva Realty
consists of two operating companies: the Valva Realty Company and Western Management Properties, Inc.
Valva Realty
specializes in the sales and leasing of older inner-city properties
as well as difficult-to-sell foreclosures,bankruptcies and probates.
It also provides ancillary real estate services such as loan collections,
real estate valuations and notary.
Western
Management Properties was established in 1970 to augment the company’s
real estate and brokerage services with property management expertise.
It specializes in handling small to midsize properties – those
too big for mom-and-pop investors and too small for institutional
management companies – and now has more than 500 residential
and commercial units under management.
Valva Realty
participates in key service organizations and boards that enable it
to keep abreast of issues affecting the East Bay. Whether through
professional associations formed through the Oakland Association of
Realtors, the Chamber of Commerce, and the West Oakland Commerce Association
or work with volunteer organizations such as the Lake Merritt Breakfast
Club, Rotary, Lions and Kiwanis Clubs, the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club
and St. Vincent’s Day Home, Valva Realty is dedicated to serve
the residents of the communities in which it operates.
